Paul Debevec

Paul Debevec’s pioneering work in photogrammetry, HDRI lighting, LED volumes, and photoreal digital human characters has been used to create key visual effects sequences in movies such as The Matrix, Spider-Man 2, Benjamin Button, Avatar, Gravity, Furious 7, and Blade Runner: 2049, earning him three Academy Awards, the SMPTE Progress Medal, and a Lifetime Achievement Emmy.  He is a VES Fellow and serves as Netflix Fellow, Content Production Research, overseeing R&D for visual effects and virtual production with computer vision, computer graphics, and machine learning.
